What: Our “Advice From the Farmer Series” talks and workshops every Saturday. Plant sale of thousands of USDA certified organic vegetable transplants in hundreds of varieties. A beautiful selection of annual and perennial flowers, planted in organic Dairy Doo, no chemicals here!

Where: Right here in our greenhouses

When: Garden Fest is every weekend starting Saturday, May 12 thru Sunday, June 10th. (Not to mention that we are open for regular business hours Mon.-Sat. 9-6 and Sundays 12-4)

Saturday, May 12th at 10:00 AM:
Building Your Soil: Dave will explain the elements of building nutrient-rich soil with the use of organic compost and minerals. BRING YOUR QUESTIONS!

Saturday, May 19th at 10:00 AM:
Growing For Success in Northern Michigan: Do you want to successfully navigate gardening challenges in our northern climate? Dave will fill you in on varieties, pests and soil challenges through the knowledge that he’s acquired through years of experience. He’s got four generations of northern Michigan farming behind him!

Saturday, May 26th at 11:00 AM:
Container Gardening and Raised Beds: It doesn’t matter if you have a balcony or acres of land. If you want to grow your own vegetables and flowers you can and we’ll tell you how!

Saturday, May 26th at 10:00 AM:
KIDS SEEDING: Bring your little ones and they can choose a vegetable, herb or flower to plant. We’ll have fun handouts and coloring pages to help them learn about the lifecycle of a plant. (A minimal $3.00 charge to cover the cost of materials.)

Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 AM:
Mixed Flower Containers 101: Kathy will give a demonstration on how to build beautiful mixed containers for your deck, porch or steps!! We’ll focus on using annuals AND perennials.

Saturday, June 9th and Sunday, June 10th:
Bring your questions and Dave will be on hand all day with solutions.

Why: Because this experience, information and quality can’t be found at local big box stores. If you want a great northern Michigan garden then go right to the source. Your local farmers are here for you!
