Open Market Membership 2026 - Full or Peak Season Produce Program

Unlimited Coveyou-grown, USDA Certified Organic produce for your whole household, with 7 days/week access to our market and 100% freedom of choice in what eligible produce you can take home. With a member badge, you can take home as much produce as your household can eat fresh. An easy, convenient, and affordable way for the whole family to eat seasonal, super fresh, locally grown veggies!

Pricing is based on the number of people in your household. ALL members of your household MUST be counted.  This program is based on the Honor System...and counting all people who live under your roof and cook and eat together is based on your truthfulness and how we attempt to price the program fairly for all participants.  

To sign up online:  

Select the Duration:  Two options; the full season 21 week duration from Early June through end of October (most common and best value!) or the shorter Peak Season option of 10 weeks from Mid June through August.

Select how you want to pay;  Payment in full right now or 6 monthly payments.  The monthly payment option has you pay a down payment today at sign up and then five additional payments once a month through October.

EXAMPLE: A Single Person Full Season Membership costs $600 for the season. If paid monthly, you will be charged $100 now at checkout and then $100 each month June thru October, for a total of $600.

If you don't see the combination of Adults and children that define your household then download an application and follow the steps to calculate your situation....or just email us and we can work through your specific cost.  You can still purchase online by selecting the "Option not Listed" to submit a down payment.

As a member, you acknowledge and agree with the following: Open Market is a produce buying membership program that allows a household all the vegetable produce they can eat for one fee. As an Open Market member, you are allowed to visit the Market any day of the week, visit as often as you want and take as much fresh vegetable produce as your household will consume in a timely manner. Produce is only available at our farm market on US131 three miles south of Petoskey (3 minutes south of Meijers).

You agree and honor that the produce taken will only be used in the household signing up.  You agree not to give produce to extended family, friends, neighbors, coworkers or anyone else not living under your roof and listed on your membership.

You are trusted to choose produce wisely to minimize waste. Members are required to show/scan their badge whenever they take produce. We will give you a membership badge on your first visit of the season.  We print badges for each adult in the household unless you tell us differently.  We encourage members to bring a reusable produce bag to minimize bag use.  You do not need to be an Open Market member to shop in our market.

The Honor-Based System annual fee is based on the number of people in your household, with children counted from age 9 to 20 years old. Children 8 and under are free.  Children 21 and older are counted as an adult.  Kids in college that are home for the summer and are going back to college (only around for half the season) are counted as a child even if they are over 21!  All members of your household need to be counted when calculating the fee even if they say they don't eat vegetables!   Households that sign up for a payment plan must commit to the full season and may not “skip” a payment due to lack of use or travel. You can download the application and mail us a check, stop by the market or purchase online to secure your membership.  

Vegetable produce is included in this membership. Fruit is not included. Vegetable types and availability follow the seasons. We do not bring in produce "off a truck" but grow USDA Certified Organic here on our farm.  We harvest six days a week and grow in numerous succession plantings to keep as much produce diversity as possible throughout the season.  Some produce may be grown by fellow local farmers.  Microgreens are not included, nor is produce for preserving/canning, flowers, potted herb plants, decorative and carving pumpkins, seasonal decor, or other packaged products.  A list of the produce items that are grown and generally available each month is shown on our website.  

By purchasing an Open Market Membership, you acknowledge and agree to the terms in the membership agreement.  Call with any qustions prior to purchasing!!
