An earlier red storage type.
Long-day onion with globe-shaped, dark purple-red bulbs. Thick, smooth, complete skins with a glossy finish. Internal rings are red at harvest time, and the color improves in storage.
We grow and sell our onion starter plants with one plant per cell using 288 propagation trays. Transplants get off to a great start since the root system and soil are actively growing at transplant. We use an Organically approved mildly nutrient loaded growing soil to keep the onions growing well prior to transplant. Most cells will have one plant per cell to speed transplanting and minimize root disturbance. All trays are labeled.
We sell each variety as a full tray (245 plants); 1/2 tray (122 plants) or 1/4 tray (60 plants)
Most varieties are over 90% germination so you will get slightly more than what is listed above but we guarantee 85% germination. We will prorate the cost for any trays less than 85%.
We grow and sell these onion transplants USDA Certified Organic by OEFFA.
We custom grow these trays for your order. When you order we will seed and grow for you. We cannot refund or cancel your order after we seed.
We can box and ship the trays to you and will charge you just the actual cost of the box and freight which varies on how many trays you purchase and where you are located. All transplants will ship Mid-April. You are welcome to pick up at our farm in Michigan as well. Shipping is not included in the cost of what you are purchasing here today and will be invoiced just prior to shipping.
