An onion so lovely, it's a shame to eat it. Selected by the late Dr. John Navazio under tough organic growing conditions, our 'Rossa di Milano' strain is up to 10 days earlier than others boasting the same name. Strong, bronze-pink skins and great uniformity. An excellent cooking onion, Rossa di Milano contributes an abundance of sweetness and pungency to any cuisine.
We grow and sell our onion starter plants with one plant per cell using 288 propagation trays. Transplants get off to a great start since the root system and soil are actively growing at transplant. We use an Organically approved mildly nutrient loaded growing soil to keep the onions growing well prior to transplant. Most cells will have one plant per cell to speed transplanting and minimize root disturbance. All trays are labeled.
